Kitchen Brigade in Full Swing
12 June 2026They’re ready for the start! A chat is fine, but only while working, multitasking! Around 15 people this afternoon, both experienced and new, are fully occupied with meal preparation. Everyone has their own task and they all know exactly what to do. Take Resi Wildenborg and Ineke van Halm, for example, who are in charge of the sandwich toppings!
“Friday counts as the busiest day,” says Ineke. “Four meals are served then, twice hot and twice bread-based. This morning started off fairly quiet, with 6 international teams at breakfast. The invasion happens at 12 o’clock, since everyone wants the hot meal straight away. Apart from that, things are spread out fairly evenly. The atmosphere among us is good, all under the motto ‘Everything under control’!”
