Also present at the tournament is Devin Haen! Son of Don Haen, former player of Grol and LONGA 30, but above all: “Devin Haen, profession: goalscorer in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.” Devin took his first steps on the football pitch at sports complex De Greune Weide in nearby Zieuwent, at RKZVC, and is a promising talent in professional football.

Goal poacher
Via De Graafschap, where he was nicknamed “the goose that lays the golden eggs” because of his expected high future transfer value, he moved through Feyenoord—who picked him up from “De Superboeren” for a bargain fee—on loan to satellite club FC Dordrecht. There he definitively confirmed his reputation as a true goal poacher.

Next season he will be the powerful target striker for Willem II, the newly promoted side to the Eredivisie. Last season he already made an impression there after the “Tricolores” bought him from Feyenoord for multiple times the amount for which he had originally been signed. Devin is also a striker for the Netherlands U21 team, where he is a teammate of our own Grol player Mats Rots.

Devin is eager to show himself and prove his worth on the highest football stage in the Netherlands. “Our goal for next season is to stay in the Eredivisie.” He speaks highly of his coach John Stegeman: “First we had to adjust. After that everything started to click. Our coach is truly a people person and very good at building and structuring our team.”
