Volunteer Celebration
8 June 2024The Marveld Tournament thrives thanks to its sponsors and over 200 volunteers. Young and old are eager to roll up their sleeves to ensure the success of the tournament. All of them are proud and true ambassadors of the event. Whether it’s the spry seniors of the Wednesday group, who were busy every day keeping the sports complex in top condition, or, as seen here, the players of JO13-1, who prepared the badges for the volunteers this week and put stickers on the water bottles for the participating teams to refill at the water stations. For every volunteer, their task is a celebration. A beautiful sight are the beaming faces of the young players, or as a Grol member spontaneously expressed in the Grol dialect: ‘Kiek dee rosjes’, ‘look at those faces’.
