Shuryjano Cornecion: The Cover Star of Marveld Tournament 2024

That’s what happened to Shuryjano Cornecion, a player for PSV under 15 and part of the selection for the Dutch national team for ‘future players’ under 16. For Shuryjano, it’s the second time he has been participating in the Marveld Tournament. He had already seen his photo on the Marveld Tournament’s social media, but he hadn’t expected to be so prominently featured on the banner. Upon arrival, he couldn’t resist taking a photo of the banner. He also sees himself elsewhere on the grounds on beach flags, posters, and program booklets. Shuryjano is the cover star of 2024.
But those photos don’t just happen. The regular sports photographer for the Marveld Tournament, Stefan Kempers, says that the moment was a beautiful combination of light, sunset, action, and the player. He is therefore extremely proud that his photo is visible everywhere at the tournament and in all its publications.
The Marveld Tournament has a long tradition of showcasing future talents on the tournament poster. Xavi Simons and Bryan Brobbey have already been featured. With Shuryjano Cornecion’s photo, the Marveld Tournament continues this tradition. It’s a great lineup to be a part of.
