Football father Nordin Wooter
9 June 2024Nordin Wooter spotted at the Marveld Tournament? Indeed, this time not as the coach of Ajax U-15 but as the father of his son Rocke (number 19), who is representing Ajax in this Marveld Tournament. He was present here in 2017 as the coach of the team that reached the final against Barcelona. Now he mainly comes for his son, but he sees plenty of interesting things happening around him: “I’ve seen and spoken to the scout from Manchester United, and all the professional football clubs from the Netherlands are also present here. Furthermore, it’s noticeable that there are many agents here for those young boys. In terms of football, I see different styles: the Brazilian street footballers, the carefully building and combining Borussia Dortmund, the Chinese team with their good game concepts. Regarding the semi-finals, I see Barcelona as the big favorite. I also met two player agents here whom I know from my own football past: Youssouf Herschi and Ricardo Kishna, the latter works for the team of the unfortunately deceased Mino Riola. This morning, I saw a Palmeiras team with fresh legs. They also have a unique style of play, they initiate an attack with a lot of rhythm and it happens from a sort of ‘organized chaos’, which is very interesting! Furthermore, in the Dutch league, there are two talented, very young strikers, both of whom have scored more than 30 times this season, namely Musa from Feyenoord and Jeshurun from Ajax. I would like to see Dutch football play like Barcelona does: playing according to the moment, playing with strategy, dominating when necessary, focused, and like that number 8 from Barça, Baba Kourouma, who calmly oversees the game from the back and chooses the right side to open up: fantastic! I look forward to the Palmeiras-Barcelona final!”
