As the smoke from the sponsor evening has barely cleared, the sports hall is already transformed into a full-fledged restaurant equipped with all the comforts. Each team is assigned its own long table and can then proceed table by table along a buffet. It’s a well-oiled machine of volunteers, with everyone knowing what needs to be done to provide all teams with a tasty meal as quickly and efficiently as possible. On Friday afternoon, spaghetti bolognese is on the menu, a true athlete’s meal, making it clear that everyone wants to lay a good foundation for the upcoming matches. Did it taste good? Absolutely. Several players went back for seconds.
